Manifesting in Real Life
Updated: Apr 3, 2021
Manifesting has been getting more and more attention over last few years. I remember when The Secret came out and how excited I was to see it. I thought I was going to put into practice what they suggested and manifest a whole new life...a mansion, new car or something big. Maybe I was going to live in Hawaii or on a beach! I tried for awhile and guess what... not much changed. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.
My guides explain it from a different perspective. In my opinion, it isn't about getting the shiny red bike or car. It's about manifesting what truly lies in your heart. That sounds easy right?
It is and yet it is more complicated than it appears.

For in order to truly manifest something, I believe a few things need to be in place.
First, I have to be in my heart center. I typically try to do this early in the morning before the day gets too busy. I go into a meditative state where I am relaxed and open. I open my heart by focusing on it and tune in to my heart center. I ask to connect to my Higher Self and my guides/angels. I ask for guidance for my highest and greatest good.
Then I ask that question, "What is it that my soul truly wants?" and sit quietly for an answer...and then I sit and wait some more. Listening in the silence. Because normally what comes up first are the material things. But that's not what I'm trying to get to- I want to get beyond the day to day stuff. If I wait long enough, new and deeper things emerge.
Some days, I use the form of free writing to kick start my intentions. I might grab a pen and begin to free write for a period of time. See what lands on the page. I am often surprised by what comes out.
Once I realize what I would like to manifest, the work isn't done. I hold that seed in my heart with complete love. I often visualize it going to The Light/God/The Universe (whatever name you choose to give your Higher Power).
Guess what? It's still not done. Now the seed has been planted and that's amazing. But now it has to be watered and nurtured. I have to revisit that intention daily. I sit in quiet for a few minutes and call to mind that intention. I visualize it as if it has already happened. I picture it in as much detail as I can- from what I am wearing, what I am saying, what I am FEELING in that moment.
It's important to go beyond my goal because if I try to manifest something and say "I'm GOING to ______" I might push it further away. See it at completion and even go beyond.
Wanting to find a love interest? Go beyond meeting that person- see your 5 year anniversary, 10 year anniversary just as if it was happening.
The same goes for any intention or goal- see it past completion in as much detail as possible. Then ask for that OR something better. As humans, we are still limited in our thinking so let's give the Universe room to go big. I say go BIG and let the Universe go BIGGER.
The final and most important piece- feel and express GRATITUDE that it has already happened.
From my guides:
What thoughts are you tending? Pay Attention. If your thoughts are negative it begins to throw off the balance. Positive begets positive. Negative begets negative. You can see how that negative spiral begins- over a simple thought repeating over and over, growing with each round, getting stronger until it begins to feed and create stories of lack, fear, and separation.
Choose your thoughts carefully. Do you see the power here? You are writing your course- where do you steer the ship? Into lack and loss? Or love and abundance? The choice will always be yours and you may change the course at any time.
Here's the good news-2021 is being called The Year of Creation in the spiritual community. It is a year where we can really begin to sow seeds for not just our lives but for the world.
So now is the perfect time to begin to ask yourself that question and really think about how you would answer it. What are you creating? What do you want to put out in the world? What do you want to see more of? Then see what begins to emerge. If it lights you up and you feel excited- you're on the right path. If it lights you up but scares you a little bit... you're probably even more on the path. :)
Trust the process. It starts with one seed.
What are you planting today?
